Meghan, who we talked with over Skype because she was working in Africa while planning her wedding (!), told us “No no’s” for her flowers. Music to our ears! We created a wide, wild bouquet with basil flowers, cactus dahlias, jewels of Opar, celosia, cushion zinnias, and our favorite perennial rudbeckia, for a joyful and exuberant complement to her natural, easy beauty. Her crown was filled intricately with rosehips, roses, gomphrena, nigella, statice, and craspedia, and we loved how perfect it was against her dark hair. Her ceremony flowers were two stately urns filled to the brim with arching arrangements that filled the space under the fallen tree. For tables, we made big, bold mason jar centerpieces to echo her geometric African-print table runners. WIN!
